This is the first of many showcases in the Museum. It holds the costume Lucy wore in the significant "I Love Lucy" episode titled "The Audition," which was based on the vaudeville act that Lucy and Desi used in the creation of the series' pilot. In this show Lucy played "The Professor," the cello-playing maestro who interrupts Ricky's nightclub act and ends up imitating a performing seal. The costume includes a blue "tuxedo," tattered hat, very long gloves, and well-worn slippers.
