780 Gower Street. This is the street entrance into what is now the Lucille Ball Building at Paramount Studios, which used to be Gulf & Western, which used to be Desilu Studios which used to be RKO. Lucy walked into the RKO lot in 1936 and soon had small parts in the Fred Astaire-Ginger Rogers musicals. During her seven-year tenure making films here, she met Desi in May of 1940 while making "Too Many Girls". Seventeen years later Lucy & Desi bought the entire lot for $6 million!
