Ren-Mar Studios

Ren-Mar Studios formerly Motion Picture Center and then in 1953 it became Desilu Studios. This was the second home to I Love Lucy...and the location of some of the most memorable episodes. The bleacher seats held up to 300 audience members. The 7 acre lot included nine sound stages, 6 of which were converted to Desilu Playhouses, for live audiences. Shot on this lot were "Our Miss Brooks", "Make Room for Daddy" with Danny Thomas, "The Untouchables" and later "Mission Impossible" and "Star Trek" were filmed here. Lucy & Bob Hope made "Facts of Life" here in 1960. The inset is the only thing left of the old studios: a bracket from which a sign hung 'Desilu Playhouse "I Love Lucy'".
